Ingredients
- Meat filling:
- Ground meat
- Onion
- Seven-spice mix
- Ground cinnamon
- Dough:
- 5 cups flour
- 1/4 cup oil
- Water as needed
- Pinch of salt
Method
- Knead the dough, then shape it into small discs or balls.
- Place the dough discs on a baking tray well greased with oil, then cover the tray with plastic wrap.
- Let the dough rest overnight.
- Mix the meat filling ingredients — meat, onion finely diced into small cubes, and spices — then put the mixture in a sieve.
- Pour a little oil on a clean surface, oil your hand lightly, and stretch the dough with your hand.
- Fill the dough with the meat mixture and roll it into finger shapes.
- Arrange the fingers on a tray lightly greased with oil and bake in a preheated oven until cooked through.
- Serve the meat fingers with yogurt, salad, and pickles; they are also delicious with soup, especially lentil soup.
