Ingredients

  • Shrimp, peeled, washed, and drained
  • 4 crushed garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated or ground
  • 1 sweet red pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon paprika or sweet red pepper powder
  • a pinch garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt
  • a pinch finely chopped parsley
  • lemon juice

Method

  1. Put a little oil in a pan, and fry the garlic until it softens.
  2. Add the ginger, then the cumin seeds and sauté for one minute.
  3. Add the shrimp and sauté over medium heat.
  4. Add the finely chopped pepper, salt, and a pinch of garlic powder.. and sauté until the pepper softens.
  5. Finally, add a little or a splash of lemon juice with a pinch of parsley.. sauté for a minute or less and remove the shrimp from the heat.
  6. Serve the marinated shrimp as an appetizer or as a main dish alongside white rice or boiled pasta.
