Lebanese Nights Dessert is one of the tastiest desserts to prepare with ease.
Ingredients
- 3 cups powdered milk
- 6 cups water
- 1 cup coarse semolina
- 2 cans Qimar cream
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 1 teaspoon ground mastic
- 1 tablespoon rose water
- Nuts as desired
Method
- Place the milk, mastic, coarse semolina, water, and a tablespoon of orange blossom water in a pot over the heat after mixing them well.
- When the milk heats up, add the butter and a can of cream (qishta).
- When the mixture thickens, remove it immediately from the heat and pour it into a Pyrex dish.
- Let it cool, then place it in the fridge for 3 hours.Timers: 180 min
- After the time elapses, spread a can of cream over its surface.
- Garnish with the nuts you prefer, such as soaked and drained almonds, pine nuts, or ground pistachios.
- Serve the syrup (qatar/shira) on the side.
- Syrup recipe:
- Dissolve 1 cup sugar in 2 cups water.
- Add a squeeze of lemon, 1/2 teaspoon butter, and a splash of rose water.
- Let the syrup boil until it thickens slightly.
- Let it cool before serving.
