Lebanese Nights Dessert is one of the tastiest desserts to prepare with ease.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups powdered milk
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 cup coarse semolina
  • 2 cans Qimar cream
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon ground mastic
  • 1 tablespoon rose water
  • Nuts as desired

Method

  1. Place the milk, mastic, coarse semolina, water, and a tablespoon of orange blossom water in a pot over the heat after mixing them well.
  2. When the milk heats up, add the butter and a can of cream (qishta).
  3. When the mixture thickens, remove it immediately from the heat and pour it into a Pyrex dish.
  4. Let it cool, then place it in the fridge for 3 hours.
    Timers: 180 min
  5. After the time elapses, spread a can of cream over its surface.
  6. Garnish with the nuts you prefer, such as soaked and drained almonds, pine nuts, or ground pistachios.
  7. Serve the syrup (qatar/shira) on the side.
  8. Syrup recipe:
  9. Dissolve 1 cup sugar in 2 cups water.
  10. Add a squeeze of lemon, 1/2 teaspoon butter, and a splash of rose water.
  11. Let the syrup boil until it thickens slightly.
  12. Let it cool before serving.
