Homemade falafel with a tasty recipe
Ingredients
- 2 and a half cups crushed fava beans
- 2 and a half cups chickpeas
- A bunch of cilantro
- 1 large onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- Spices: 1 tablespoon dried coriander
- A pinch of garlic powder
- Salt
- A pinch of cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch for crispness

Method
- Soak the crushed fava beans and chickpeas for 6 hours with just 1 spoon of baking soda, then wash themTimers: 360 min
- After draining, put them in the blender with the cilantro, garlic, and onion, and grind until smooth
- Add the remaining ingredients and mix, then let them sit for 10 minutesTimers: 10 min
- Just before frying, add the second spoon of baking soda and mix, then start shaping using a spoon or the special falafel tool and fry the patties in plenty of hot oil
