  • One package of ready-made puff pastry squares
  • For the cream filling:
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon orange blossom water
  • a dash of vanilla
  • one container of ready-made cream (Qeemar)
  • Remove the mixture from the heat and add the container of ready-made cream.
  • Shape the puff pastry into triangles and bake at 200°C for 10 minutes or until they puff and turn golden.
  • When the puff pastry has cooled, fill them with cream, garnish with pistachios and serve with syrup (qat'r/shira).

Method

  1. Put all ingredients on the stove and stir until the mixture thickens...
  2. Remove from heat and add the ready-made cream.
  3. Shape the puff pastry into triangles and bake at 200°C for about 10 minutes, or until they puff up and turn golden.

  4. When the pastry cools, fill with cream and garnish with pistachios; serve with syrup or sugar syrup.
