How to make tahini cookies in a very easy recipe with simple ingredients and a taste everyone will love!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 115 g unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon liquid vanilla
- 1/2 cup tahini
- Sesame seeds
- Black nigella seeds
Method
- First, mix the dry ingredients. Place the sifted flour in a deep bowl, add the salt and baking soda, and mix well.
- In another deep bowl, add the softened, unmelted butter and beat it with an electric mixer for several minutes.
- Add the sugar over the butter and continue mixing well with the electric mixer.
- Add the egg to the butter and sugar and continue beating with the electric mixer, then add the vanilla.
- Once the ingredients are well combined and the sugar has dissolved, add the tahini and continue mixing.
- Begin adding the flour mixture gradually, in batches, over the butter and tahini mixture.
- You will get a smooth, cohesive dough. Cover the bowl and place the dough in the fridge for about 30 minutes to chill.Timers: 30 min
- After the required time has passed, start shaping the tahini cookies.
- Shape them into circles, then roll them in a plate containing sesame seeds and black nigella seeds. Press each circle slightly so the white and black seeds stick to it.
- Place the tahini cookie rounds on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, leaving enough space between each cookie.
- Bake the tahini cookies in a preheated oven at 175 degrees for about 18 minutes. We do not want to overbake the cookies so they do not become hard.Timers: 18 min
