Ingredients

  • Two packages of qamar al-din
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • We can also use a second, faster method:
  • Cream or Qaymar:
  • 4 cups liquid milk
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • Method for the cream:

Method

  1. We put the qamar al-din in a little cold water and leave it until it dissolves completely, then place it in a suitable pot over low heat ...
  2. Add the sugar gradually to the qamar al-din, stirring continuously until it comes to a boil.
  3. In a small bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in half a cup of water. After it has completely dissolved, add it to the qamar al-din mixture and continue stirring for about 4 minutes until it comes to a boil
    Timers: 4 min
  4. Put the ingredients (2 qamar al-din / 6 sugar / 4 cornstarch / 1 cup water) in an electric blender and blend them all together, then put them directly on the heat until they come to a boil.
  5. Divide the mixture into small bowls and let it cool, then garnish it with shredded coconut and nuts as desired and place them in the fridge.
  6. We can make two layers as in the picture: first add the cream, then a layer of qamar al-din pudding.
  7. Stir the ingredients over the heat until they thicken, then add 1 teaspoon each of orange blossom water and rose water.
