Hummus with tahini is one of the most delicious dips and a classic Lebanese appetizer. You can add minced meat on top or fried kofta to make it a meal—very appetizing.
Ingredients
- 3 cups chickpeas, soaked overnight with 1 tablespoon baking soda
- 1 cup tahini
- or as desired
- 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
- Salt, to taste
- Juice of 2 lemons, or to taste
Method
- After soaking the chickpeas overnight, rinse them and boil them well until tender.
- In a food processor, place the cooled cooked chickpeas with the tahini, yogurt, salt, and lemon, and blend until you have a smooth hummus dip.
