Ingredients
- Simple syrup (Qater or Sheera)
- Sesame seeds
- Dough:
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 level teaspoon mahlab
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup liquid milk
- Pinch of salt

Method
- Knead all ingredients together until you get a soft, elastic dough. You can add more milk if the mentioned quantity is not enough to achieve the desired dough consistency.
- Form the dough into egg-sized balls or as desired... and let them rest for half an hour.
- After this time, roll out each dough ball to a thickness of approximately 2 cm.
- Brush the surface of the dough with a little simple syrup (qater or sheera) and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Let the dough rest for another half an hour after arranging them on a baking tray.
- After this time, preheat the oven to 250°C (top and bottom heat)... and let it warm up.
- Place the tray in the oven and leave it until the dough puffs up and cooks through.
