Homemade burger buns, just like the bakery’s .. you won’t be able to tell them apart from store-bought buns
Ingredients
- 1 kilogram flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 medium tablespoon vinegar
- 1/4 cup oil
- 2 tablespoons yogurt
- 1 cup liquid milk
- Lukewarm water for kneading
- Oil for brushing the dough surface
- 1 egg beaten with 1 tablespoon vinegar and 1 tablespoon liquid milk for brushing the buns
- Sesame seeds for the top - optional
Method
- Mix the ingredients together, then gradually add the lukewarm water and knead for about 15 minutes until you get a soft, smooth dough.Timers: 15 min
- Gather the dough, shape it into a ball, brush it with oil, then cover it and let it rise for 1 hour.Timers: 60 min
- After the time is up, divide it into 15 pieces, shape each piece into a ball, then cover them with a cloth and let them rest for another 30 minutes to 1 hour.Timers: 30 min, 60 min
- Once they have risen, brush the tops with the beaten egg mixture with vinegar and milk, or with milk only. You can also sprinkle a little sesame on top.
- Place the buns in a preheated oven at 180°C, on the oven rack.
- When the burger buns are baked, lightly brown them on top.
