Cocoa cake... a delicious and easy homemade recipe. This cake is the perfect solution when you want a light and tasty cocoa dessert with a cup of tea
Ingredients
- 5 eggs
- lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup milk, or orange juice, or another juice
- 3/4 cup oil
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
Method
- Beat the eggs with the lemon zest and vanilla for 3 minutesTimers: 3 min
- Gradually add 2 cups of sugar and beat until the sugar dissolves
- When the mixture puffs up and becomes creamy, add the milk or juice and continue beating
- After the juice, add the oil and beat again
- In a separate cup, pour the vinegar over the baking soda so it foams, then add it to the cake mixture
- Finally, add the flour and baking powder gradually and beat until the mixture is well combined
- Grease a cake pan with butter and dust it with flour, then divide the batter into two portions
- Pour the first portion into the pan, then add the cocoa to the second portion and beat
- Pour the cocoa batter over the first batter in the pan
- Using a wooden stick, swirl the surface in a zigzag pattern
- Tap the pan on the table to release air, then place it in a preheated oven on the rack at 180°C for 40 to 45 minutes, or حسب the strength of your ovenTimers: 45 min
