Ingredients

  • 3 cups of red split lentils
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 dry onion
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 potatoes
  • homemade chicken bouillon cube*
  • a pinch of salt
  • a pinch of ground black pepper
  • a pinch of ground cumin
  • water

Method

  1. Prepare a pot; add 2 tablespoons of oil, then add the crushed garlic and the finely chopped onion and sauté them well...
  2. Then add the carrots and potatoes, cut into small pieces, along with the homemade chicken bouillon cube and stir well
  3. Then add the red lentils with a pinch of salt a pinch of ground black pepper a pinch of ground cumin, stir, then add a generous amount of hot water
  4. Let the lentil soup come to a boil, then reduce the heat and cook for half an hour
  5. Note:
  6. After the soup is cooked, you can put it in a blender or blend it with an immersion blender to achieve a creamy consistency
