Ingredients
- 500 g flour
- 1 cup lukewarm milk
- 1/2 cup water
- 75 g butter (about 1/4 cup)
- 2 tablespoons instant yeast
- A pinch of salt
- Vanilla
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg

Method
- Put half the flour with lukewarm milk, yeast and sugar, mix and leave for ten minutes until the yeast activates
- Then add the remaining ingredients — the egg, the remaining flour, salt, vanilla and water — and knead for at least ten minutes
- Let the dough rest for half an hour as well
- Shape the donuts with a special cutter and let them rise again for about 15 minutes
- Heat the oil and fry the donuts in hot oil over medium heat
- Coat them with melted white or milk chocolate or dust them with powdered sugar
