Mdalouka dessert .. one of the very delicious and rich sweets often served during Ramadan! But since we have the recipe here, we can enjoy it whenever we feel like it :)
Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup semolina
- 25 g or 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 1/4 cups ground pistachios
- 1 teaspoon rose water
- 1 teaspoon orange blossom water
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Place the sugar and water in a pot over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Then add the lemon juice.
- Continue stirring until bubbles appear on the surface.
- Then add the butter and semolina and keep stirring over low heat for about 15 minutes.Timers: 15 min
- After 15 minutes, add the ground pistachios, orange blossom water, and rose water, stir, and turn off the heat.
- Spread the mixture in a wide dish and let it cool well.
- Spread the cold fresh cream over the top of the mdalouka batter, decorate with pistachios or fried nuts, and serve with syrup.
