Ingredients

Start here, then move straight into the method.

  • Za'atar (thyme), chocolate, or cheese for the filling
  • Dough
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons dry yeast
  • 1 medium teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup powdered milk
  • About 1 cup water (or a little more) — adjust as needed

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Mix the dry ingredients, then add the liquids and knead well
  2. Let the Easy Honeycomb dough rest for about half an hour
  3. Roll it out with a rolling pin and cut it into circles
  4. Fill them as desired (cheese, za'atar, chocolate...) and close them into balls
  5. Arrange them on a greased baking tray so the balls are close to each other but not touching
  6. Leave them for about another half hour to proof again
  7. Bake the Easy Honeycomb in the oven until the dough is cooked and you notice the balls have joined together
  8. Serve the Easy Honeycomb immediately, separating each ball before serving
