Ingredients

  • 180 g butter
  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • Chopped walnuts

Method

  1. Melt the butter with the chocolate in a double boiler.
  2. In another bowl, whisk the eggs with the sugar until you get a pale creamy mixture.
  3. Add the melted butter and chocolate mixture to the egg mixture and whisk well until combined.
  4. Sift the dry ingredients into a separate bowl, then fold them into the wet mixture.
  5. Pour the brownie batter into a prepared baking pan (greased or lined with parchment paper).
  6. Bake the chocolate brownies at 170°C (338°F) for 15 minutes only.

  7. Let the brownies cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for about 6 hours to chill completely before cutting and serving.

  8. Note: Do not bake the brownies more than 15 minutes so they remain fudgy.
