Ingredients
- Shawarma beef, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tsp seven-spice blend
- 1 tsp paprika
- A pinch of hot pepper
- 1/4 cup oil
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 large onion, cut into wedges
- Salt
Method
- Marinate the shawarma beef overnight in the vinegar, water, and spices.
- The next day, drain the meat and place it in a skillet over medium heat, stirring until the liquids evaporate.
- Add the oil, sliced or chopped tomatoes, onion wedges, and salt. Cover and cook until the meat is fully cooked and tender.
- Serve the shawarma with tahini sauce or tartar (tarator) sauce.
