A very delicious anise cake made with an incredibly easy recipe .. Anise has calming benefits, and that is perhaps what we need most :)
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup liquid milk
- 1 cup brown or white sugar
- 1 tablespoon liquid vanilla or 1 teaspoon powdered vanilla
- A small pinch of salt
- 2 teaspoons ground anise
- 2 teaspoons anise seeds
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 and a half cups sifted flour
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
Method
- First, grease a cake pan with oil, or brush it with oil, then sprinkle in 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds so the sesame sticks to all the sides. Set the pan aside and start making the batter.
- In a blender, add the eggs, vanilla, and pinch of salt and beat well, then add the sugar and beat well.
- When the mixture turns creamy, add the oil and milk and beat well, then add the anise seeds and ground anise and blend again.
- Add the flour gradually and beat well, and finally add the baking powder and beat.
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Pour the batter into the pan slowly so the sesame seeds on the sides stay in place, then sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
- Place the anise cake in the middle of the hot oven and leave it for 40 to 45 minutes, checking on it.Timers: 45 min
- After the cake is baked, let it rest for 10 minutes, then invert it onto a serving plate and dust the top with powdered sugar.Timers: 10 min
