Ingredients

  • For the marinade:
  • Boneless chicken breast
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Turmeric
  • A small pinch of nutmeg
  • Grated ginger or ground ginger
  • Garlic powder
  • Sweet and hot paprika
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • For cooking:
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 medium cooking cream carton
  • 1 small knob of butter
  • To serve:
  • A sprinkle of dried parsley
  • Indian naan bread:
  • 1 cup flour
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 small teaspoon yeast
  • 1 small teaspoon sugar
  • Oil

Method

  1. Cut the boneless chicken into cubes.
  2. Marinate it after mixing all the ingredients together.
  3. Leave it to marinate for 1 hour.
    Timers: 60 min
  4. In a wide skillet or pot, cook the chicken, stirring, until fully cooked, then add the cooking cream and lemon juice and mix.
  5. Let it simmer over low heat for 10 minutes.
    Timers: 10 min
  6. Add the butter and stir until it melts, then turn off the heat and sprinkle some dried parsley on top.
  7. Serve the Indian chicken with boiled or fluffy white rice and naan bread.
  8. Mix the dry ingredients, rub the oil into the flour, then gradually add water and bring the dough together.
  9. Knead well for at least 5 minutes, cover, and let it rest for at least 1 hour, or depending on the temperature, until it doubles in size.

  10. Shape the dough into balls and flatten them by hand to a thickness of 1 cm. Cover and let them rest again for about 20 minutes.

  11. Cook on both sides in a pan over low gas heat.
