Method
- Put the mixed spices in a pot over the heat and boil them for one hour. It is best to prepare the spice water the night before cooking the maghli so you get a strong, delicious flavor.
- Add 1 cup finely ground rice with 1 1/2 cups sugar, and you can add more sugar to taste. Also add 1 tablespoon caraway, 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon, and 1 tablespoon ground ginger to give the maghli its warm, spicy flavor...
- Mix the dry ingredients well, then add 8 cups of the previously boiled spice water...
- Place the mixture over the heat... when it starts to boil, reduce the heat and continue stirring over low heat for at least an hour and a half until you get a thick mixture...
- After the maghli is cooked and has thickened, pour it into serving dishes and leave it to cool, then place the maghli cups in the fridge... When serving, garnish the maghli with nuts soaked in water: almonds, pistachios, pine nuts, walnuts, and grated coconut...
