Ingredients

  • 5 cups sifted flour
  • 1 tablespoon yeast
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons powdered milk
  • Warm water
  • Today's croissant is from the kitchen of a friend of the Shaw Tabekhin Al-Yawm website:
  • Em Hadi Saad

Method

  1. Knead the ingredients together and let the dough rest for some time.
  2. When the dough has risen, divide it into balls, then roll each ball out separately, brush it with soft butter, and place it in the refrigerator.
  3. Every half hour, remove it from the refrigerator, roll it out with a rolling pin, then return it to the refrigerator, repeating this four times in total.
  4. After the fourth time, cut the rolled dough into triangles and fill as desired, with cheese, chocolate, or za'atar, and brush the top of each piece with a little egg mixed with a pinch of vanilla...
  5. Place it in a preheated oven until golden brown.
