  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • Ground mastic with a little sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rose water
  • Food coloring
  • Shredded coconut

Method

  1. Mix all ingredients cold except for the mastic and rose water…
  2. Put the mixture on the stove and stir until the mixture thickens… Add the mastic and rose water and turn off the heat…
  3. Pour the mixture into several containers or tall cups. Add different food colorings to each cup and stir well until the color blends with the muhallabiya while it is hot.
  4. Let the colored muhallabiya cups cool, then refrigerate to set well… It’s best to leave overnight.
  5. After the required time, unmold the colored muhallabiya from the tall cups, cut into discs, and coat with colored shredded coconut on all sides…
