Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 100 g butter at room temperature
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method

  1. Place the butter and sugar in a mixer and beat well until the mixture is creamy and white.
  2. Add the eggs one at a time and continue beating.
  3. Add the flour, cocoa, milk, baking powder and vanilla and beat as well.
  4. Preheat the oven for 10 minutes at 170°C, and pour the batter into a buttered and floured pan.
  5. Bake the cake in the oven for about 40 minutes or according to your oven's strength.
  6. Let the cocoa and butter cake cool well at room temperature before serving.
