Recipe story

Chocolate-dipped strawberries... so delicious and perfect for decorating desserts, and so easy! But this recipe teaches you how to shape these strawberries so they look like a turkey :) Let's learn together!

Ingredients

  • Large strawberries
  • Mini marshmallows (very small ones)
  • Salted pretzel sticks
  • 1 cup white chocolate
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate

Method

  1. Cut the mini marshmallows in half diagonally
  2. Break the salted pretzel sticks into equal pieces, no longer than 2 cm each
  3. Insert one end of each pretzel piece into a marshmallow half
  4. Melt the chocolate over a double boiler or in the microwave (for 30 seconds), then add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the chocolate (optional) to give the chocolate sauce a glossy finish
  5. Once the chocolate sauce has cooled slightly, use it to glue the pointed side of the marshmallow half (the side you did not cut) to the side of each strawberry at an angle, and do the same on the other side of the strawberry (repeat for all strawberries)
  6. Place the strawberries in the refrigerator until the chocolate used to attach the marshmallows has completely set
  7. After making sure the marshmallows are firmly attached to the strawberries, insert a long wooden skewer from the top of each strawberry one by one to make it easier to fully dip the strawberries in the melted chocolate
  8. Let the excess chocolate drip off, remove the wooden skewer from the strawberry (to use it for another one), and place the strawberries on plastic wrap or food-safe nylon, then leave them in the refrigerator until the chocolate is completely set
  9. Use these turkey-shaped chocolate-dipped strawberries to decorate desserts such as cupcakes and cakes, or serve them as a light dessert
