Cheese Cookies
One of our favorite recipes always, anywhere and anytime! It is known as Kaak al-Esruni, but try it for breakfast with cheese and labneh, and it will stay in memory for a long time.

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon instant yeast
- 3/4 cup yogurt
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup grape molasses
- Toasted sesame seeds
Method
- Mix the flour, sugar, yeast, yogurt, and salt; combine the ingredients and begin adding the water and knead the mixture.
- Knead the mixture and let it ferment well.
- Divide the dough into medium-sized balls and roll each ball into a long rope, fold it in half, twist it over itself, and press the ends together.
- Add 3 tablespoons of water to the grape molasses to thin its consistency. Dip the dough rounds in the molasses solution and then roll them in toasted sesame.
- Place the dough rounds on a baking tray and bake them in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20 minutes or until they brown.Timers: 20 min
