Beef Stroganoff
Beef Stroganoff — a classic Russian dish made quickly with tender beef strips, mushrooms, cream and stock. Serve with white rice.
Beef stroganoff — one of the most famous Russian dishes, made with beef or chicken. A very tasty recipe.
Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- Half a kilo beef tenderloin (thinly sliced) — the tender cut is preferred
- 2 large dry onions
- 1 cup mushrooms (sliced)
- Cooking mustard
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 cup cooking cream
- 1 cup chicken stock
- 1 tablespoon meat sauce (gravy)
- A pinch of sweet paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon flour

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Fry the beef after seasoning it with sweet and black pepper; fry it in oil and butter over high heat
- When it is cooked — without overcooking so it doesn't dry out — set it aside
- In the same pan, sauté the chopped onion until softened, then add the chopped mushrooms and stir; then add the flour and mix
- Add the beef that was set aside, then add mustard, ketchup, meat sauce, and chicken stock, and stir
- When they boil, add the cream and let them boil briefly until the sauce thickens slightly
- Serve the beef stroganoff with white rice
