How to make baklava at home — don't think it's complicated. It's actually very easy.
Ingredients
- Ready-made baklava (kallaj) sheets
- Filling:
- Pistachios
- Walnuts
- Almonds
- 1 tbsp orange blossom water
- 1 tbsp syrup (qatir)
- For brushing the baklava:
- 1 cup melted butter
- Syrup (qatir)
- Crushed pistachios for garnish

Method
- Grind the nuts, then add the syrup and orange blossom water and mix.
- Lay out 3 or 4 rectangular ready-made pastry sheets on a clean surface, stacking them on top of each other.
- Brush each pastry sheet with melted butter before placing the next sheet on top.
- Place about one tablespoon of the filling across each sheet, then roll it like a sandwich.
- Arrange the rolls in a Pyrex dish or baking tray after cutting them as desired.
- Brush the baklava pieces with melted butter and place them in the center of the oven, watching closely because they need only a few minutes.
- When you remove them from the oven, immediately pour warm syrup over them, then garnish with pistachios.
- Let the baklava cool completely before serving.
