Oven-Roasted Beef
A very delicious oven-roasted beef recipe. If you don’t have the time or setup to cook over charcoal, try this super-tasty oven method—just be sure to marinate the meat in advance!

Oven-roasted beef... We recommend serving it as a sandwich. Here are all the details to enjoy delicious roasted beef without charcoal :)
Ingredients
- 1 kg beef or veal, cut into medium-sized cubes
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp sumac
- 1/2 tbsp ground black pepper
- 4 tbsp chopped fresh thyme
- 1 tbsp dried herbs (such as rosemary)
- 1/2 tbsp salt (or to taste)
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- Vegetables:
- Red onion
- Bell pepper
- Tomato
- Pita bread or flatbread for sandwiches
- Accompanying sauce:
- 1/2 cup tahini
- 3/4 cup plain yogurt
- Juice of half a lemon
- A pinch of salt
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 crushed garlic clove
Method
- Mix all the marinade ingredients in a bowl, add the cut meat, and toss well.
- Let the meat marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, ideally overnight.Timers: 120 min
- After marinating, spread the meat directly in a roasting pan with the chopped vegetables.
- Roast the meat in the oven over medium heat for about 30 minutes.Timers: 30 min
- Prepare the sauce by mixing the sauce ingredients together; add a little water if the mixture is too thick.
- Once the meat is cooked, assemble the sandwiches: place pieces of meat and the roasted vegetables in the bread, drizzle some of the sauce over them, add slices of green and red onion if you like, roll the sandwich, and serve immediately.
