Ingredients
- 5 eggs
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons powdered milk
- 3 cups sifted flour
- 1 and 1/2 tablespoons baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1 cup 7 Up
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
- Zest of 1 lemon or orange
- Note:
- It is necessary to use the same cup size for all ingredients, and the eggs must be at room temperature

Method
- First, beat the eggs, sugar, and vanilla well with an electric mixer until you get a creamy white mixture
- Add the vegetable oil, powdered milk, vinegar, 7 Up, and grated orange peel, and continue beating the mixture
- In another bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, and salt, then add the flour mixture to the egg mixture in batches
- Mix the ingredients with a wooden spoon or a whisk, until you get a smooth, homogeneous mixture
- Divide the 7 Up cake batter into two parts, the first
- Leave the first part plain, without any additions
- In the second part of the 7 Up cake batter, add the cocoa powder and mix
- Hold each mixture in one hand and pour both batters at the same time into a cake pan greased with oil and dusted with flour
- Place the 7 Up cake pan in a preheated oven (on the middle rack) at medium heat for 40 minutes, or until it rises and is cooked through, depending on the strength of the oven, without opening the oven at allTimers: 40 min
- Remove the cake from the oven after it is done and set it aside to cool completely at room temperature before turning it out onto a serving plate and decorating as desired..
