Green Okra Stew with Meat

Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 1 kilo green okra
- 1 kilo tomatoes
- 1/2 kilo meat, cut into cubes
- 1 head garlic
- 1 bunch fresh cilantro
- 1 tablespoon sweet pepper paste
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons pomegranate molasses
- A pinch of black pepper
- Salt
- Rice
- 1 cup long-grain rice
- 1 cup Egyptian rice
- 2 cups vermicelli
- Ghee or oil
- 4 cups water
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Boil the meat well with the seasonings until cooked through
- Chop the cilantro and pound the garlic, then sauté them in a little oil. Add the pre-boiled meat and stir with a pinch of pepper
- When the meat takes on a light color, add the peeled, blended tomatoes with the tomato paste, pepper paste, and salt
- Let the pot boil for a few minutes, then add the pomegranate molasses and let the broth simmer until it thickens
- Finally, add the okra, which has been half-fried in advance, and let it simmer with the broth for about 5 minutes over medium heat. Do not overboil so the okra pods do not burstTimers: 5 min
- Serve the green okra stew with vermicelli rice
- Fry the vermicelli in oil or ghee until golden, stirring so all the strands are evenly colored
- Add the washed and drained rice to the pot with the vermicelli and stir briefly
- Add water at a ratio of 2 cups of water for every 1 cup of rice, and let it come to a boil
- After boiling, reduce the heat, cover the pot, and let the rice cook over low heat for about 20 minutesTimers: 20 min
