Ingredients

  • 1 kilo sifted flour
  • 2 teaspoons yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups warm milk
  • 1 egg
  • A pinch of vanilla
  • Filling
  • Butter, at room temperature
  • Cocoa powder
  • Cinnamon
  • Brown or white sugar
  • Decoration
  • Sweetened condensed milk
  • Liquid chocolate

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Mix the dough ingredients and knead well until you obtain a cohesive, non-sticky dough.
  2. Let the dough rise.
  3. Once it has risen well, roll it out with a rolling pin on a clean surface so it is slightly thick, not very thin.
  4. Spread room-temperature butter over the dough and sprinkle with brown or white sugar, cinnamon and cocoa.
  5. Roll it up like a log, then cut it into medium-thick pieces.
  6. Place them on a baking tray with some space between each to allow them to expand.
  7. Let them rest for half an hour before baking.
  8. Place the tray on the middle rack of the oven and bake the cinnamon rolls at 180°C for about 30 minutes or according to your oven’s strength.
    Timers: 30 min
  9. Remove the tray from the oven when the rolls are done and decorate the tops with sweetened condensed milk and melted chocolate.
