Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- In a deep bowl, put a little warm water with the sugar and yeast and mix until the sugar and yeast granules dissolve
- Add a little flour with a pinch of salt and leave the mixture for a few minutes until the yeast reacts well
- Then add the remaining flour and powdered milk to the yeast and sugar mixture and mix well, then add the vegetable oil and knead for some time
- You will get a soft, slightly sticky dough; let it rest for some time and for at least one hour....
- After the required time, form the dough into balls and then shape them as desired or to the size you want, whether mini ka'ak or larger afternoon ka'ak
- Roll the balls to a thickness of about 1 centimeter; if making large afternoon ka'ak, place a cup or cutter to cut the dough into a circle and cut a small circle inside the large one
- Brush the dough lightly with a little water on top so the bran and sesame will stick, then roll the ka'ak in a mixture of sesame and bran
- Let the mini afternoon ka'ak rounds rest for about half an hour, then place them in a hot oven and bake until golden
