Jelly pudding... a delicious and refreshing dessert

Ingredients

Start here, then move straight into the method.

  • 2 cups or 500 ml milk
  • half a cup or 100 g sugar
  • half a cup or 125 ml liquid whipping cream
  • quarter cup or 60 g room-temperature butter
  • 2 tablespoons or 30 g cornstarch
  • 1 packet strawberry jelly, or any other flavor
  • half a teaspoon or 2.5 ml liquid vanilla

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Prepare the jelly as directed on the box: dissolve the packet contents in hot water at a rate of 1 cup per packet, then add 1 cup cold water per packet and stir.
  2. Pour the jelly into dishes halfway, then refrigerate for 30 minutes.

  3. Dissolve the starch in half a cup of milk, then add it to the rest of the milk and sugar in a pot over medium heat.
  4. Stir constantly until the mixture boils and thickens.
  5. Remove the pudding from the heat, then add the vanilla and butter and stir until the butter melts... set aside.
  6. In a large bowl, put the liquid cream and whip it with an electric beater until creamy.
  7. Add the cream to the pudding, then fold slowly from bottom to top in one direction until the cream and pudding are fully combined.
  8. Carefully pour the pudding over the jelly, then return the dishes to the refrigerator for no less than 6 hours.
