Marzipan Maamoul Filled with Dates
An inventive recipe that combines the famous Italian marzipan sweet with maamoul! Marzipan maamoul stuffed with dates... a recipe that doesn't require an oven or a refrigerator.
Ingredients

- 1 cup mixed nuts
- cashews, pistachios, hazelnuts
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon orange blossom water
- 1 tablespoon rose water
- 1 cup dates
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- First, make sure the nuts (cashews, pistachios, and hazelnuts) are unroasted and unsalted. Grind them in a food processor until they become a fine mixture.
- Add the sugar to the nut mixture along with rose water and orange blossom water. Mix until you have a smooth dough. Fill it with soft date paste mixed with a little rose water and oil.
- Place a cashew inside each piece of dough filled with dates, as shown in the accompanying photos, and shape the date-and-cashew maamoul using the special maamoul mold.
- Leave the maamoul pieces on a tray for about 12 hours until they dry and become firm.Timers: 720 min
