Ingredients

  • 1 box shell pasta (or any other shape)
  • 1 small onion
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 small can tomato paste (or 3 tablespoons)
  • 1 ripe tomato, blended
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 3 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • Water as needed

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the box.
  2. In a pot, heat a little oil and add the chopped onion and garlic; sauté.
  3. When they soften, add the blended tomato, salt, oregano and tomato paste and stir. Then add one cup of water (or more) while stirring.
  4. Let the sauce simmer until it thickens slightly, then add the cooked, drained pasta and toss for just one minute.
  5. Turn off the heat and transfer the shell pasta with sauce to a serving dish.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
