Strawberry Jam

An easy strawberry jam recipe with clear, detailed steps and every little detail included. Try it — the kids will love it! Nothing beats this jam with butter at breakfast or as a dessert.

Strawberry jam.. one of the most delicious jams, especially loved by children

Ingredients

Start here, then move straight into the method.

  • 1 kilogram strawberries (or as desired)
  • Three-quarters kilogram sugar (for each kilogram of strawberries)
  • Juice of half a small lemon
  • Also from Alisar, here is Macaroon Dessert
  • For more jams, here from Alisar too Apple Jam

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Wash the strawberries and remove the leaves, then weigh them after draining to know the amount of sugar to add.
  2. In a bowl, soak the strawberries with the sugar overnight until the water is released from the strawberries.
  3. The next day, put the strawberries in a pot on the stove (without adding water so the flavor remains concentrated).
  4. Remove the foam that appears occasionally on the surface of the pot (it must be removed because the foam spoils the jam).
  5. Keep the jam over low heat, stirring occasionally, and try not to mash the berries too much to preserve their nice shape.
  6. When you find that the strawberries have cooked well and the liquid has thickened a bit, add the lemon juice, stir, then turn off the heat.
  7. Spoon the jam into clean, dry, airtight jars.
  8. When they cool, seal the jars and store them in a dry place away from sunlight; after opening, it's best to keep the jars in the refrigerator.
  9. Al-Yasar Rajab
  10. Also from Al-Yasar, here is the macaron dessert.
  11. For more jams, here is also Apple Jam from Al-Yasar.
