Ingredients

- 1 kg fresh green beans
- 2 medium onions, dry
- 3 garlic cloves
- Vegetable oil + olive oil
- 5 tomatoes, crushed
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste or tomato purée

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Trim the strings from both sides of the green beans, then cut them with a knife or break them by hand into medium or small pieces. Wash them very well and leave aside to drain.
- Fry the finely chopped onion in oil, add the garlic and sauté until softened.
- Add the drained green beans and salt, stir, then cover and cook over medium heat until tender, stirring occasionally.
- When the green beans are cooked, add the crushed tomatoes and the tablespoon of tomato purée and simmer until the tomatoes are cooked.
- Serve the green beans warm, slightly warm, or chilled from the refrigerator with raw white onion and green bell pepper.
