Ingredients
- Beef suitable for roasting or oven grilling
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- 1 cup fresh mushrooms
- 1/2 cup peeled almonds
- 3 cloves garlic
- Ready-made puff pastry
- 1 egg
Method
- Sprinkle the salt, spices, and cinnamon on the beef, fry it in olive oil on all sides for several minutes. The meat is not meant to be cooked at this stage; we just want to give it a nice color.
- Remove the meat from the heat and immediately brush it with mustard on all sides while it is still hot so it absorbs the mustard well.
- Separately, grind the fresh mushrooms with the peeled almonds and garlic. Put the almond-and-mushroom mixture in a pan over the heat and sauté without any oil until the mixture is completely dry and no liquids remain.
- Roll out the puff pastry, place a layer of the mushroom-and-almond mixture and place the meat on topplace the meat on top
- Wrap the pastry tightly around the meat, wrap it in kitchen plastic wrap and tighten it firmly and securely, and put it in the refrigerator (not the freezer) for about 30 minutes. After the time passes, remove it from the refrigerator and brush it with egg and make small slashes in it with the tip of a knife.Timers: 30 min
- Bake the meat in the oven for at least 45 minutes to make sure the meat is fully cooked. Cooking time varies depending on the size of the meat.Timers: 45 min
