Ingredients
- 5 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup sugar
- 1½ cups flour
- 1½ tsp baking powder
- For soaking the cake:
- ½ cup whipping cream
- 2 cups milk
- 1½ tablespoons sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- For the cream topping:
- 1½ cups whipping cream
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- Caramel:
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 tbsp salted butter
- ¾ cup whipping cream

Method
- Beat the eggs with the vanilla and gradually add the sugar while beating until the mixture becomes thick.
- Gradually add the flour and baking powder and fold in.
- Grease the baking pan with butter, dust with flour, and pour in the cake batter.
- Bake at 170°C (338°F) for about half an hour.
- Mix all the ingredients for soaking the cake.
- Let the cake cool completely, then pour the soaking mixture over it.
- Whip the cream ingredients together and spread the cream evenly over the cake, smoothing the top.
- Prepare the caramel at the last stage: melt the sugar over heat until it caramelizes, then add the butter and then the cream, stirring until combined.
- When the caramel is ready, pour it over the cream on the Trileçe cake.
- Decorate the cake as desired.
- Chill the Trileçe cake in the refrigerator long enough to cool completely before serving.
