  • 1 package plain toasted bread
  • For the syrup:
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • For the muhallabia layer:
  • 1 liter milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 6 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons butter
  • The second layer:
  • 1 packet ready-made whipped cream powder
  • The chocolate or ganache layer:
  • 200 grams dark chocolate pieces, melted in 200 ml heavy cream
  • For garnish:
  • Strawberries and nuts

Method

  1. First we prepare the syrup (attar or shira). In a pan over heat, put the sugar until it caramelizes, then add the water.
  2. In a wide deep dish, arrange the toasted bread or shaboura (ladyfingers), then pour the syrup over it...
  3. . And then we begin preparing the muhallabia layer.
  4. In a pan over heat, melt the butter and add the remaining ingredients while stirring continuously, then pour the muhallabia while hot over the toast or shaboura.
  5. Put the dish in the refrigerator to cool.... After it has cooled well, add the whipped cream layer, then chill in the refrigerator
  6. Prepare the chocolate layer and pour it over the cream layer, then put it in the refrigerator to cool.
  7. Cut and garnish with strawberries and nuts.
  8. Whisk it with half a cup of liquid milk.
