Method

  1. In a bowl, put the butter, sugar, and vanilla and whisk them with a hand mixer
  2. When the mixture becomes creamy and pale, add the egg and continue whisking
  3. In another bowl, sift the baking powder, flour, and salt, then add them to the egg mixture and stir with a spatula then with the whisk until well combined
  4. Chill the cookie dough in the refrigerator for about ten minutes
  5. After the time has passed, roll out the dough, cut it into shapes, and arrange the pieces on a tray lined with parchment paper
  6. Place the tray in a preheated oven at 175°C for about 10 to 12 minutes
    Timers: 12 min
  7. Begin preparing the fondant: put the water and oil in a pan over heat, then add the marshmallows and stir well until the marshmallows melt
  8. Add the vanilla and a pinch of salt, stir, and remove immediately from the heat
  9. Gradually add the powdered sugar while stirring continuously until you reach the desired consistency
  10. At this stage, you can add food coloring as desired
  11. Take a small amount of the fondant and color it with black food coloring
  12. Use the white fondant to shape a sheep: roll it out on parchment paper and cut it with a round cutter
  13. Place the cut fondant pieces on the cookies
  14. Use a straw to make small circles on the fondant to recreate the design shown in the photo, making sure to lift the straw quickly from the fondant
  15. Roll out the black fondant on parchment paper, cut it with a small circular tool, then use a knife to shape the edges into sheep ears and place the ears in position
  16. Form the nose using a small wooden stick, then roll very small white fondant pieces and even smaller black ones to make the eyes and place them on the sheep
  17. Note: you can use the photo as a guide and imitate it… and invent more ideas
