- In a separate bowl, whisk the egg with the vanilla, then add the sugar and oil.
- Add the flour mixture to the egg mixture.
- Add the chocolate chips and stir the mixture with a wooden spoon.
- Chill the oatmeal cookie mixture in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes.Timers: 20 min
- After the time has passed, shape into circles and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, then press them down slightly.

- Let the oatmeal cookies cool to room temperature before decorating them with sugar paste.
- Knead the sugar paste ingredients on a smooth, clean surface, adding a little icing sugar so the dough doesn't stick.
- You will get a soft sugar paste. Rub a little vegetable shortening on your palm from time to time while kneading.
- When the dough is finished, cover it immediately so it doesn't dry out.
- Food coloring can be added according to the shape we want. In this recipe, we added orange coloring to the sugar paste and shaped the cookies like small pumpkins.
- We kept a little of the sugar paste and added green food coloring to form the pumpkin leaves.
