Date Kaak
Very delicious and easy date kaak, with a tried-and-tested recipe that is sure to succeed! The ingredients are simple and available in every home, and they are guaranteed to impress your family and guests!
Ingredients

- 6 cups sifted white flour
- 1 teaspoon yeast
- 1 teaspoon mahlab
- 1 teaspoon kaak spice mix
- 1 coffee cup anise seeds
- Nigella seeds
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 2 cups liquid milk or 4 large tablespoons powdered milk + 2 cups water
- Water can be replaced with boiled anise water

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- First, mix the dry ingredients, then add the oil and knead well.
- Add the milk gradually until you get a soft, smooth dough.
- Set the dough aside for 10 minutes.Timers: 10 min
- Meanwhile, prepare the date kaak filling.
- Mix the ground dates with a pinch of ground cardamom, a pinch of ground anise, and a little fennel.
- Add 1 tablespoon butter and knead the mixture well.
- Start shaping the dough: roll it out, add a little filling inside, roll it lengthwise, seal it, then shape it lengthwise and form it into rings as shown in the picture.
- Place the date kaak pieces in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 15 minutes, until cooked and golden brown... but do not leave them too long so they do not become hard...Timers: 15 min
