Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup finely ground semolina
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • pink food coloring
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Method

  1. Put the semolina, sugar, flour, and milk into a bowl and mix them first while cold, then place over low heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  2. When the mixture thickens, add the grated coconut and stir well, then remove from the heat and set aside to cool.
  3. When the coconut mixture has cooled, divide it into two portions. To the first portion add food coloring until it turns pink, and leave the second as is without coloring.
  4. Shape the mixture into rounds, balls, or spheres and roll them on a plate of grated coconut so the coconut sticks to the outside.
