Ingredients

- Half a kilo potatoes
- Half a cup breadcrumbs (ground rusks)
- Two tablespoons butter, melted at room temperature
- Salt
- A pinch of black pepper
- Mozzarella or kasshawan cheese
- Coating the balls
- Two eggs beaten with a pinch of black pepper
- 1 cup breadcrumbs with a pinch of oregano and black pepper
- Half a cup flour
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Boil the peeled, washed potatoes, drain them well, then mash them while they are still hot.
- Add the butter, salt, and a pinch of pepper, then mix.
- Then add the breadcrumbs and stir with a spoon until combined.
- Shape the potato mixture into balls, make a hole in each one, fill with a little cheese, then close it up and shape it into a round ball.
- Coat the balls in the flour mixture, then the egg mixture, and finally the breadcrumbs.
- Leave the potato and cheese balls in the fridge for one hour.
- After the time has passed, fry the balls in plenty of oil over medium heat until golden brown.
- Serve the potato and cheese balls immediately.
