Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked chickpeas soaked overnight with baking soda
  • 3 cups yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Bread cut into cubes and fried in plenty of oil
  • Fried nuts for garnish

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Soak the chickpeas overnight.
  2. The next day, boil them with a little baking soda.
  3. Drain the chickpeas and place them in a Pyrex dish or serving plate.
  4. Mix the yogurt with the crushed garlic, tahini, salt, and ground cumin.
  5. Arrange the fried bread over the chickpeas in the serving dish, then pour the yogurt and tahini mixture over the bread.
  6. Garnish with fried nuts or as desired and serve the fatteh immediately.
