Easy Oatmeal Cake ... Here’s the simple, detailed method

Ingredients

Start here, then move straight into the method.

  • lemon zest
  • 4 eggs
  • a pinch of salt
  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 1 1/2 cups oats
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon liquid vanilla
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Place the eggs, lemon zest, salt and vanilla in an electric mixer and beat well.
  2. Add the sugar and beat well.
  3. Add the milk and oil and beat well.
  4. Gradually add the sifted flour and one cup of oats and beat well, then add the baking powder and beat.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan greased with oil or tahini.
  6. Sprinkle half a cup of oats on top, then bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 50 minutes, or until done (depending on your oven).

  7. Serve the oat cake after it cools to room temperature.
