Ingredients

  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • olive oil
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 cups red lentils or brown lentils
  • chopped Swiss chard
  • 2 potatoes, chopped
  • chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • salt to taste
  • plenty of lemon juice, to taste

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Sauté the chopped onion and garlic in olive oil in a pot until softened
  2. Add the carrots and stir briefly
  3. Add the lentils, after rinsing and washing them of course, then the chopped Swiss chard, potatoes, and cilantro gradually, allowing a few minutes between each ingredient .. and stir
  4. Cover the ingredients with water and let them boil over medium heat until cooked through
  5. Add the spices, salt, and lemon juice at the end, let the soup boil for just two boils, then turn off the heat
