Hummus with tahini is one of the most delicious dips and a classic Lebanese appetizer. You can add minced meat on top or fried kofta to make it a meal—very appetizing.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups chickpeas, soaked overnight with 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 1 cup tahini
  • or as desired
  • 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
  • Salt, to taste
  • Juice of 2 lemons, or to taste

Method

  1. After soaking the chickpeas overnight, rinse them and boil them well until tender.
  2. In a food processor, place the cooled cooked chickpeas with the tahini, yogurt, salt, and lemon, and blend until you have a smooth hummus dip.
