How to Make Cocoa Cake

Ingredients

• 5 eggs
• lemon zest
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 2 cups sugar
• 1 cup milk, or orange juice, or another juice
• 3/4 cup oil
• 1 teaspoon vinegar
• 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
• 2 1/2 cups flour
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 2 tablespoons cocoa

Method

1. Beat the eggs with the lemon zest and vanilla for 3 minutes

2. Gradually add 2 cups of sugar and beat until the sugar dissolves
3. When the mixture puffs up and becomes creamy, add the milk or juice and continue beating
4. After the juice, add the oil and beat again
5. In a separate cup, pour the vinegar over the baking soda so it foams, then add it to the cake mixture
6. Finally, add the flour and baking powder gradually and beat until the mixture is well combined
7. Grease a cake pan with butter and dust it with flour, then divide the batter into two portions
8. Pour the first portion into the pan, then add the cocoa to the second portion and beat
9. Pour the cocoa batter over the first batter in the pan
10. Using a wooden stick, swirl the surface in a zigzag pattern
11. Tap the pan on the table to release air, then place it in a preheated oven on the rack at 180°C for 40 to 45 minutes, or حسب the strength of your oven

12. Turn off the oven, open the door slightly, and leave the cocoa cake inside for 5 minutes to settle

13. Remove it from the oven and let it cool to room temperature before serving
